Here is a little picture diary of my bike's resurection. In February I tapped the tail at about 40 mph. It was my fault I was doin' a wheelie and it got away from me. It's not done but its well on the way.

So far its gotten the body mods you see here, my own personal (hack job) straight thru exhaust, yoshimura stage one jet kit, a 3 inch lift courtesy of new dog bones. Soon I'll get the frame done black, maybe powder coated. For head lights I have a set of projector beams from an XB12 and set of super trick LED running lights, neither mounted right now. I have fabricated a flat sheet metal undertail (looks pretty good) to make do untill I get the dough for an aftermarket fiberglass one. Or the time to cast one on my own, not very likely after the hours of work I did on this run. I'd like to do some upside down forks to really trick it out and put that super wide GSXR front tire on it. Well we all have dreams. Hopefully in the next six months I'll be terrorizing the streets of north Texas once again.
Well now that you have my story, let me know what you think. There is an old saying, "it takes an entire village to raise a child" but in our case its more like "it takes a bunch of guys with bikes and too much time to give Chuck good ideas". The bike is still in quite a state of dissaray and parts are still quite hiddeous, but I'm a man without a country. I just got out of the Air Force and I've been living in an apartment in Florida. (No garage fellas) I did all this stuff parkinglot style or literally in my living room. So I guess what I'm saying is be gentle its my first time.
