One small error. The VIN numbers are 17 digits long. The first Canadian 2006 GSF1200SA is JS1GV79B162100001. I know because thats my bike

Who could doubt the official service manual ???
And yet, the service manual shows the beginning number as per my original post....
although there DOES appear to be a blank space between the A and the 6. I believe this is an area where Suzuki inserts a Transport Canada specified designator on the actual production bikes and this designator varies from year to year. Obviously, when Suzuki prints the service manuals they have no way to show what designator will go in that spot because the manuals are usually composed wayyyyyy before the bikes are actually produced.
So, fossil, you have the very first Canadian market ABS bike!!!
Obviously a keeper....right??
