Looking 4 Ideas!

Hey Guys and Gals......I have a 02 Bandit 12.....i was wondering if anyone has found and/or fabricated a single seater seat out of the stock seat on the B12....If anyone has any ideas or knows of somewhere to get 1 please let me know......Example:Similar to the Hyabusa rear seat cap, but integrated into the bandit12 stock seat

I don't have time to look right now but I'm pretty sure any or all of the below have seat cowls for 2G Bandits.  Not sure where you are but those are all US-based outfits.  All the Bandit cowls I've seen are all flatter, lower-profile than the ones on a Busa or the old SRAD GSXRs and TLRs.  I do like that taller look, though.  Pete has a cool alternative to a cowl.  He had his seat reworked by Seargant to mimic that look but it's all upholstered.  It looks great.

mentalino, you should check out the corbon smuggler I have one on 02 1200s. It`s a bit pricy but worth the money it gave me a good after market seat and a trunk space where the pass. would sit. Sorry not at my computer so I cant post a pic. There should be a pic in G/m thread titled test pic.

I made one up for my '97 1200 from a spare seat, it clips on exactly the same as the two-up version, but it has a nice "bob-tail" look.  Plus I re-covered the foam with a better vinyl that more easily allows shifting weight for cornering.  I will send you a picture if you want.  There is not much available. People have said this one is cool.  Tom

Mentalino, this was a simple molded fibeglass shell attached to the seat pan, foam cut to single size and re-covered. Let me know if you want more detail or methods, etc..  tom

That would be an easier idea.  This one is fastened directly to the PE seat pan with the foam removed.  If the piece would just curl under the pan, and be high enough to clear the seat cover, it could be just taken off if needed.  With the existing one, you have to switch the seats.  I'll work on it. T.

Wild Hair Accessories has seat cowls for the 1G & 2G B6/12 stock seat (and the 1G B4, too).

There's also a full solo seat by Bike Side that looks similar to the stock seat with their cowl, but has a lower than stock seating position.

Tom, is this red Bandit yours? I know this is off topic a bit, but do you have an pictures of the front fairing? It looks like an older GSX-R upper fairing.?.? Very sweet looking bike.
