Hey Red bet you don't have to pay 17.5% tax either, The pound is alot stronger than the dollar at the minute thats why our prices look even more outrageous than normal :duh: .
But it's great when we come over to you everything seems so cheap :banana:

You're right... I can buy products from the UK or EU and not pay their atrocious VAT, and if I buy my stuff from a mail-order or e-store that's not in my home state, I don't have to pay my state's sales tax (7.9-8.9% depending on city/county add-ons).

The price I gave wouldn't be for ride-in/ride-out service though... it would be for e-store (incl shipping) and carry-in mount/bal locally.

Mind you I was thinking of around £120 for the front so its not all bad. but a $127 thats unreal. Wish we had prices like that! :monkeymoon:

The z6s are great!
I've put about 1300 on 'em so far.
Not too much wet riding yet, but they feel much better than the macadams did in the twistys.

Due to the not as rounded profile, the bike also leans over quicker now too.
So now it likes to lean and likes to stay in a lean.

Yeah i noticed a difference in the profile while riding it felt weird at first, the bike just wanted to drop into the courner quicker. soon got that one sorted.
Got the chicken strips down to about 1/4 inch , just got to have the balls to get my knee down now and scrub my knee slders in that'll stop the guys at work from taking the piss out of them or maybe i'll just get the sander on them :banana:

I've been running a set of Z6's on my SV1000 for a couple of weeks now..  About 750 miles at this point...  Mostly N.Ga/TN/NC twisties taken at unmentionable speeds...  I've been very impressed with the grip, feedback, and the fact that it has a sport/track tire profile so they don't impart any odd handling characteristics...  Not sure I'd run them at a trackday but I am a firm believer that they are the best all-around tire for street use right now...  Money well spent....    :beers:

and have now worn out at least one set of the z6.

Did your milage go up or down and your opinion
on whether the z6 was more sticky or less so;

I had a set of Z4's on my SV650 that I got a bit over 8k miles on.
The Z6's are MUCH stickier in my opinion... If I get anywhere near 8k out of the Z6's I'll be EXTREMELY pleased...

Well guys, I had the MeZ4's on my bike and they were toast in about 5K.  I was also not real impressed with the grip.  They "say" the Z6's are better in the grip department but I'm not sure I want to spend the bucks to find out.  I think I'll stick with the Avons.  Good grip and mileage combined, and not that expensive either.

Well, not have any other tyre to compair agian'st the Z6 is good I've done about 2k on them in a few week, and they shit like shit in the corners as a newbe to riding, im just starting to get the bike right over and I mean right over. They are sticky in the twisty's. And I do feel safe with them, so would buy the Z6's agian :motorsmile:

I ran the Avons before i had the Z6's on and at the moment there about on par with each other, what i did find was that the Z6 has a more triangulaur profile than the Avons which if your not expecting it turns into corners very quickly.
I was told to me by the tyre dealer and i forgot all about it until i had scrubbed them in and tried a knee down round an island on the way to work one morning. :shock:
