new improvements
« on: May 26, 2005, 06:27:46 PM »
After the B6 fell over in the trailer on the way home from BOSS, I just replaced the side mirror and Zero Gravity DB windshield, now I am on to better things.  Just threw on a set of Avon Avaro St's, and Galfer stainless steel brake lines.  I noticed the front braking is greatly improved, maybe replacing the hydraulic fluid helped too, dunno, but the braking is a little bit better.  How long will it take to break the new tires in?  I guess for now I should avoid wet weather riding.  Kevin

100 miles or so, Kevin.  They won't be real 'treacherous' in the wet, but you've got to avoid 100% aggressive riding in any conditions for a little bit.

O.k Pete thanks.  I am not really riding aggressively like roamr and the other guys, so I should be o.k.  The new brake lines are nice too.  Think I should reinstall the micor saeng edge?  Did you like that.  I had mixed feelings.  I thought it worked well, but looks a little big.  Any thoughts?

I thought the edging looked good.   Does it seem to do anything? :?:

Yeah, it seems to kick the air up higher.  Maybe I will put it back on.  Going to RI this weekend.....should be fun.  My main concern was the weather, what if I hit rain with the new tires?  I guess as long as I take it easy I should be o.k. then.  If I dump it, I am calling you for a ride Pete!  Thanks, Kevin
