lower weight + mods = Wheelies/crash - plastic =a creation
« on: March 29, 2005, 04:39:37 PM »
As an old BBS member I watched the replies and learned about my 00 B6....I went with a scopion pipe along with a 5 degree timing advancer and stage 1 kit from Dale Perry@Holeshot (great response), dropped my rear tire down to a 150/60/17 and stuck drag bars on it.....low and behold I had a wheelie machine, but lo and behold my no fear attitude led to losing some plastic...For 7 months now my poor bandit has been looking like it ain't had no love.More times than I can count people have said,"What is that, an '89"? :banghead: So finally I've started back working on it,as of this pic,I've fashioned some plates to coer the frame opening, put new flush mounts on, put LCD engine lights on(you don't notice well in the pic)went with Holeshot's streetfighter headlight kit, and as we speak its getting new fork seals and dust caps, as soon as it comes back to me its getting a carbon fiber tank bag and carbon fiber levers, see, even though we abuse our animals sometimes ya gotta show 'em love again   :beers:
It'll be in for paint next week, lets see just how much love i have for it....

When I clicked on your link, all I got for a pic was X - anyone else have that problem?

yeah, me too...  The pics were added 3/29...  but were not viewable for some reason.  Sometimes these sites like msn, yahoo, etc.. only allow members to view pics...  Dunno...
When I used my old Yahoo photo album, I could only let yahoo members see the pics, unless I paid for the premium service.  And I'm not a MSN member...

Glad to see you back working on your bike thattat2guy...
If you want, upload the pics to this public free host, everyone can see the pics.  http://imageshack.us/

I know this thread is really old, but i have a question.  I'm kinda in the same boat, my fairings are in bad shape after a lowside.  I also have a 00B6 and am wonder how you attached your gauges.  I would really like to do the same thing.

Thanks,
David
