Hello all!
Just got a big old B12 second hand. Stage 3 dyno jets, K&N Dual pods, carbon exhaust.. Showing 135 RWHP on the dyno charts with a top speed of 160 MPH!
It's running too rich at the moment and I hate the headlight and mirrors.. Will be doing some minor work making it look nicer before ripping the carbs out and having a play around!
I'm looking into LED headlights but in England the rules are difficult.. Because only tungsten bulbs have been tested it's not clear whether HID kits or LED headlamps are legal and will get through an MOT! From what I can make out, HID kits are illegal here without a 'self leveling mechanism' to stop blinding oncoming traffic. LED's are possible I think as long as the beam is flat but uptake has been slow on off the shelf units and there doesn't appear to be anything out there at the mo that looks legal so I might have to tear apart my old stock one and try and make and LED chip array in there!
