Fuel level gauge accessory outlet on older B6?
« on: May 18, 2006, 03:19:42 AM »
Ok please forgive any newbie like posts that may come from me, I am new to bikes but not new to modifications and fabrication. I have two race cars and not one of my three street vehicles is stock, all the work I have done myself.

So my question is fuel level. Is there a simple way to add a fuel level gauge to a 96 B6?

On the fuel level issue I know that many bikes do not come with an indicator but is there a way to retrofit anything from the later model bikes to the older B6 or is the process not very straight forward?

Many of the newer/larger touring bikes include an accessory outlet these days. Anyone add one to their Bandit? Seems like it would be failry simple I just would love to see any setups other members have done.

You can find a 1200 tank and use the sending unit out of it. You would still need the wires and gauge though. Basically all of it from a 1200 will work.
