Scorpion Slip-On For 07 Bandit 1250S
« on: December 17, 2007, 01:00:44 AM »
I was wondering if anyone has installed a Scorpion pipe on the Bandit 1250S. If so please share your thoughts, pros and cons for the Scorpion end can please.

 :thanks:

New guy jumping in since nobody had any comments on Scorpion can. Don't have one on my 07 1250 but did have the carbon fiber can on the previous bike, 06 Yamaha FZ-1.  Good quality carbon fiber, nicely polished stainless tubing and end cap, very light.

Initially I was worried it would be LOUD because it was a big straight tube through the middle, but after installation I was surprised it wasn't that loud. Probably about the same volume as the Yosh slip-on having heard a friend's 1250 with that can.

(See you got more feedback over at TWT.)

Hi Huladog,
I'd like to first say  :welcome: to the Banditalley Forum and  :congrats: on your most excellent choice in motorcycles. :bandit:
I had a stainless Scorpion end can on my 05 DL650 and liked it very much. I've not heard a Scorpion on the Bandit 1250S yet. For that matter I've not heard a Scorpion pipe on any Inline four yet.
I do know that Scorpion pipes are quality crafted, excellent value, never need internal baffles replaced, and really looked and sounded great on my Wee Strom.
I was trying to get some feedback from a Bandit 1250 owner. Who might have replaced his giant stock muffler with the Scorpion end can.

Thanks for your response my friend, are you a TWT member also?

 :beers:

I have the funky Scorpion tri-color flame TI can on my ZX6R.  It seems very well made.  I'm pleased with it.  IMO, you can't really judge the sound of it idling or as a rider and I haven't heard my bike with someone else on it yet.  I've been told it sounds good.

A1A, not a member of TWT but been lurking for awhile. That forum was one of the reasons I got the Bandit after selling my FZ-1 and wondering what to ride next.

A Scorpion on an inline-four sounds good based on what my FZ-1 sounded like. Best to wait and see what other 1250 guys have to say.

Aloha,
Huladog
