Painting Bandit
« on: May 22, 2006, 05:43:41 PM »
I messed up my right side fairing on a G2 Bandit.  It will cost ~$180 to buy a new one painted the right color for my local dealer.  Does anyone know about how much it would cost to have a body shop repaint all my plastics?  I would take off my tail, front fairing panels, and gas tank.  If I'm going to drop that much money I'd pay alittle more to have everything else look new too.

While I can't say anything about the cost...I got it doen free along with some work on the car, Autobody America did a great job on sanding out the scrapes and painting it.   I think they were excited to work in something interesting instead of a car.  So don't think only of MC places, car places can do it too.

When I got the 450 painted it was at an auto body shop.  A small, local one.  Not part of a chain.  Pretty cheap, too, but you have to tell them about plugging the gas tank opening and hanging the parts or they'll tend to just set them on a desk and spray.  Hey, it's a car place.  Just clue them in.
