which exhaust system??
« on: July 14, 2007, 04:29:05 AM »
Hi There,
I'm looking for feedback from members on a new can for my 1250 Bandit.
Don't like the size, heat of the stock system HOWEVER if I put on a can with allot of noise my wife will be giving me flack because she loves this new quiet Bandit. I could put up with a little noise but I like it quiet too. I've looked at Yoshi, Two Brothers, Scorpion and Dale Walker's Holeshot.
Would appreciate getting some feedback from you guys...Cheers

will be watching this as well. I'd like one about 1/2 the size, oval, yet still quiet.

Based on what I've heard from the old 1200's, the Yoshimura Zyclone series and Holeshot Street series are the quietest aftermarket exhausts I've heard. Both are pretty subtle when idling or cruising along, but still let of a bark if you rap them out. Which one you choose would be based on which one you like the looks and/or price of.

I've been real pleased with my Holeshot 17" Street can. It's been on the bike for six years now. It seems my neighbors are OK with it, too. They're all retired and prone to complain about lots of piddly little things, but they've never complained about my bike. And since I've had the bike, I've worked days, swings and graveyard shifts, so the bike has been in/out at all kinds of crazy hours.

I have a D&D on mine. It isn't the quietest, but at idle or just riding, it isn't too bad. When you goose the throttle though, it BARKS! It also didn't cost too much.

I have the Yoshimura TRS SS slip on..Still have the stock header so the bike is not loud at all ..Slip on also has a removable baffle which i have left in..Much smaller than the stock can, probably half the size in diameter and weighs less..Overall very quiet for a aftermarket slip on...a little popping on decel ..Hopefully some tuning will be available soon...
