Who makes better fork springs for a 1G B6?

I am glad you posted this because I was wondering the same thing.  Roamr has told me that he thinks that the Race Tech is the better spring.  I bought the Progressive springs for my last bike, Honda CX500, and they were awesome.

I have progressives in my Gen 1 B6 and they're great.  I don't think you can go wrong with either one.  I've used RT a lot on my dirt bikes and they have good products and do good work.  I think the progressives are cheaper.  If you want to really increase performance, RT has cartridge emulators you can add with the springs.

The Progressive springs are a progessive rate spring, the Race Tech's are single rate. Both are an improvement over stock. Folks who've experienced both say the Race Techs are better.

I would say depending on your needs choose accordingly.

If you are a commuter with lots of freeway time looking for a nice controlled plush ride- Go with the Progressives

If you ride hard and are pushing the front into turns and under hard braking- Go with Race Tech.

I have the Race Tech's in my '05 B12- They control front end dive and chatter under hard riding conditions nicely. Overall highly recommended.

Best thing to do is to go to Race-tecs web site and read more than you ever wanted to know about suspention.

Sounds like the racetech setup is the way to go if you've got the cash, but is it a good idea to upgrade the springs too? If so; progressive or the racetech springs?

I run progressives and have had no problem, but emulators are probably the way to go.   I have it as good as i can with a mixture of oils .  Gaz.

I had race tech do my forks a few months back, it's an improvement, but not as big a difference as I thought it would be. If anyone is interested in buying the complete forks off me I may sell, but I'd need stockers to put on, as I don't think it's worth disassembling the things...

I love my race tech springs and gold valves on my 2000 Bandit 1200S. Im glad I chose straight rate over progressive since I ride so agressively. It eliminated the horrible front end dive. Now all I need is a rear shock to complete the package.
