Brighter bulbs for the 1250S
« on: February 10, 2009, 09:52:10 PM »
Has anyone located brighter headlight bulbs for the 1250S?  Stock lights pretty much suck.......did not find anything on the forum; if it's there, please point me to the thread and don't say anything too mean :duh:

I believe there were some other threads, but this was the only one I came across easily:

I believe you can just upgrade to higher wattage bulbs.

If you want to search for more posts, make sure you search the General Tech section, as well as Big Bandit Banter.

The newer Sylvania Ultra Silverstar bulbs are getting pretty good reviews, and are readily available at most auto parts stores.

i went with the silverstars
they are brighter wil the same wattage
if you want to spend more go with PIA

DANGER do not use higher wattage bulbs without a relay.
the extra draw heats the wires and switch  too much. if you must go higher keep it to just a little.

Thanks for the input guys.  I've adjusted the headlight but it didn't seem to make that much difference.  Once it warms up again, I will take your suggestions and see how it works.  Now, I just have to save up for that new sargeant seat....... :thanks:
