I have a 2000 600 Bandit I am trying to take the fairings off and turn it into the naked model.  But I can not figure out how the speedometer mounts.  The dealer isn't much help.  Also, how do the mirrors mount.
Somebody please  HELP.
Thank you
max :crybaby:

The 2G naked bikes have a different instrument pod housing and upper triple clamp than their faired kin. They also have different clamps on the clutch and front brake that have bosses in them for handlebar mounted mirrors.

The clamps you could probably source from a 1G since they all (faired & naked) had handlebar mirrors. You could also opt for bar end mirrors or some other aftermarket solution.

The pod housing you could source from a naked 2G B12 (or a B6 from a market that got nakeds, like the UK). The 1G B6/12 mounted their instruments to the upper triple on both S & N models, but the mounting is different than the 2G. Since the B6 uses 41mm forks and the B12 43mm, you can't use a 2G B12N's upper triple either. That means either sourcing one from a 2G B6N, using a 1G B6 one and make an adapter bracket, or fab up your own solution.
