suspension settings for caring a 210 lbs passenger

I have a 98 bandit 1200 and will be doing some two up riding soon. The bike has the stock suspension and the settings currently are 4 on preload and 2 on damping. My weight is 195lbs the passengers weight is 210lbs. Any advice on suspension settings or other suggestions on caring a passenger?

there is no stock setting that will accomodate.

damping on 3 seems to work best with max preload.
mine is an 02 which is somwhat improved over 98 but even with my 190+gear lbs. it is just enough.

go aftermarket if you plan on carrying more weight than that.

Bazza - What did the progressive shock do for you? I see lots of tweaking talk but not sure what to do with the info. Whoa.. I just got a flash back for Days-of-Thunder, I guess I need someone to tell me what I'm doing in the pits. I danno it goes fast and turns OK

For me, better suspension allowed me to go faster in serious twisty stuff,  more comfortably, and safer.
  IT doesn't turn you into an instant racer, but allows you to get more out of your bike, and you.

For a 150 pound rider, sticking to flat roads, and happy with it, the stock suspension is OK.    For touring, or anyone wanting to ride somewhat AGGRESSIVELY on a twisty road, it sucks......
