Why don't you just add a Busa shock to raise the tail and improve the quality of your shock? They can be had cheaply (~$35) on e-Bay.
what would happen if you have lovered the front forks 10mm in the triple clamps and shorted the dogs bones 3/8 to raise the rear end?

Just curious. jwalters just put in a gsx1100 shock, and had to do a little grinding to make it fit. grind-fit-grind-fit-grind-fit... looked frustrating!

The tail would probably be ~2" higher (or more) than stock. My guess is by this point the centerstand would be useless. (If that matters to you.)
