Deleted all my cookies and tried it again - no luck - sorry on the pictures. Anyone have any ideas where I could post them and link them into this site?

Here's what I use:

I have over 100 pics on there now, all for free.

There's also:

And probably several others that folks here use.

Thanks for the web posting link.

Here are a few of the finished product installed pictures.

Hopefully this works.....

I'll ride tonght and give a report on performance.

Phil

PS - Don't ask why I defaced my bike with YZF-R1 grips. I did not notice it at the time I bought them, but they do feel good and look good. Perhaps I'll find some nice Bandit grips someday.

Phil see if you can find some 719 Gel grips. I run them on my FZ1 and my Nighthawk they are really nice feeling grips.

Looking forward to the report on your shield. What does the sticker Anti-shock mean?

BTW Bandit owners..how tdo the stock mirrors work ( On the FZ1 you get you see your shoulders   )

Looks great, Phil! Glad you got the pic thing worked out.  :bigok: I like the color, too.

Ferret... the mirrors could be a little wider for sure. At first all I could see was my elbows, but now I've repositioned them and they are better... either that or I'm just getting used to them.

A set of 1" mirror extenders may be in order in the future though.

Hello again from the central plains - or so.

I ran with the shield on tonight. Here's the scoop:

All things are quieter and the wind hits about midway up my visor and actually makes the vent on top of my head more effective due to what I assume is a smoother flow of air over the helmet as opposed to blasting me in the chest.

The windshield is sturdy and does not wobble at all.

The tint in the glass takes away from the ambient light coming through and lighting up the LCD display. Thus, with sunglasses on during the day, the lower light on the speedometer makes it more difficult to see the two digits to the right of the "1" on the speedometer.........

Outside of that, very nice and very worth the time and money. Now we wait for the side case mount to come in so we can get on with the full bags mounting for the rear.

Later - Phil

On the washing.....well it is brand new and I'm going through the phase that says it will look this good forever if I simply keep it clean.   I use that Honda spray/wash/shine stuff. It really works well removing bugs and keeping her polished.

Thanks though.....bags are a comin'. :bandit:

Why no I didn't! I am 6' 4" tall and my legs are just right for the raised seat while still fitting the tank cutouts. That is just one of the deciding factors that went in to buying this bike.

Damn I'd love to be that tall.I'd be breathing different air.

I'm guessing at my paultry 5'7" in riding boots that the wind would be directed completely over my head with that shield.

Did you ever figure out what the anti-shock decal on the shield meant?

I'm 6' 2" but  have a long torso and short legs (30" inseam). Sounds like your Givi would have worked just fine for me. I went with the MRA though, and I like the adjustable spoiler. They both look great!

Ferret, don't be envious of tall folks. I've found it to be a lot more of a disadvantage than an asset. For instance, I don't fit very well on little cafe racers,  and my extra weight was always a big drawback on the track. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)

Concerning the Anti Shock.....all the sticker said, from what I remember, was that is made out of an anti-shock material. I will read it again tonight, but I "believe" this is a poor Italian-English translation of a static free material.

If not that, I'll let ya' know.

PhilS...neat looking.  What was involved in installing it.  I have the LaminarLip and it works very well, but that is not to say it can't get better with a Givi....
