Are G1 and G2 Forks the same.

I trashed my front end and I'm wondering if I can put G1 forks on my 02/1200. They are 43mm tubes. I guess the same question goes for the trip trees.
Do or do not, there is no try.

Length is different but I don't remember how much so.

They aren't the same, but you could use them. You'll need the fender, too, as the fenders attach differently. The 1G also uses different brake calipers, but the 2G's calipers will bolt up (and are better than 1G calipers).
