upper fairing swap g2b6 to a g1b6

hi, has anyone ever put a 2001 or newer upper fairing (with the sharper headlights)on a old body style g1 bandit 600.  ,if so did it mount right up?

There's a guy on another Bandit board that did it on a 1G B12 (same thing though). It doesn't mount right up and the body lines don't blend perfectly, but at a quick glance/distance/poor picture it looks OK.

Here's some pics of it. His is the black one.





The 2G looks more modern, but the 1G has better lighting...
