Warning to anybody buying a buell flyscreen...
« on: March 26, 2006, 02:08:23 PM »
Just got done paying for a buell flyscreen (M2) at the local Harley dealer. I'm not sure if it is a universal thing, but it seems the prices on them have doubled. All in all, I paid about 125 dollars for it and the requisite mounting hardware  . So, if you were expecting to get a buell screen for a lot cheaper than the holeshot, think again. Still saved about 30 bucks though.

Sounds like someone at Harley got wise to people using the Buell stuff on non-Buells...

I think that is your Dealer running the price up.  I found one the other day for $59 at the local dealer.

But found a carbon fiber one on ebay for $70 plus the shipping.

I haven't received it yet, for all I know it is crap, but it sure did look nice in the picture.

Just wondering if when you mounted this on the bandit, did it start to leak oil, miss, and did you have the urge to wear pirate clothes?

Joking of course, but lets see some picts!

Deepink - is it from DC Composites?  If so, it's a nice piece but look for it to arrive sometime in July.  I have their XB screen.  I love it but it took forever for them to ship.

yep - it is.  But I read their feecdback and realized that it would take a while.  I spoke with them yesterday, just to follow up.  I don't know if they are overwhelmed, or just plain slow.  We'll see - and I'll keep you posted.

WOW - FWIW - I checked my mail today and had a notice that my flyscreen was at the post office.

Funny that I posted it earlier, and when I talked to the guy the other day, he said it hadn't gone out yet.  But it is here.

Took 15 days.

I thought it would be longer.
