Wheel interchange?
« on: October 19, 2005, 10:59:06 PM »
I have searched, and maybe i'm computer illiterate, but couldn't find anything.
Does anyone know if any other front wheels will work on a b12 98'. I cannot locate one and would like to get my bike going again.
Thanks, Josh

Do a search thru the parts catalogs of various Suzuki models you might think would share the same front wheel and see if any of them have the same P/N.

The P/N is 54111-17E12-35W and the 35W part is a color code.
All the 1G & 2G B12's use this wheel, so any B12 will be a source.

Well so far I have determined the rf900 used the same wheel. But still no luck in locating one as the RF900's weren't all that plentiful if I recall correctly. Thought someone else might could use the info. sometime.

1998 and newer Katana's used the 17x3.5 front. Don't know if the rotor bolt pattern is the same though. That is going to be the challenge- since 1990 the GSXR's have used a 17x3.5 front but the rotor patterns and offsets are not the same for all years. I would try to stick with a B12 wheel for this reason unless you want to swap the entire front.

In that case its a snap, just bolt the thing on.

Good Luck, Ed.
