Ya, I check Ebay everyday, but I haven't checked any dealers, thanks for the suggestion.  Since I live probably a hundred miles or more from a dealer I didn't consider it, but they could always send it to me. :}

Keep checking eBay.  Used ones come on every so often.  If you want a new one without a lock there are some generics for ~ $30 US.

You have to get confirmation from the sellers as to the mounting hole spacings.

Hey, I saw these but it doesn't say anything about Bandit 400, so I didn't give them a second look.  If you say they will fit I guess I'll take your word for it as you are the Gear Head!!  Thanks much, Pam :}

Another question: any suggestions on how to paint the rear foot peg holders?  They are really in bad shape and I can't seem to freshen them up..  I wanted to just remove them, but the right one seems to be holding up the muffler so thats out... all suggestions appreciated....Thanks much, Pam :}
