need stock B6 muffler
« on: April 30, 2012, 06:29:36 PM »
i got hit last year by a car and my muffler is all road rashed... i am getting ready to powder coat the full system and i would really like to just replace the muffler rather than having to wrestle with the grinder to smooth it all out... anyone have a stock pipe laying around they would get rid of cheap style?

Where are you at?  What year B6?  I have a 2G stock can & mid pipe collecting dust in my garage, here in Washington.  If that'll work for you, make me an offer.

I'm not so sure it'll work on a 1G.  Aftermarket cans will, but their mounts are band clamps that can go anywhere along the canister, not so with the OE ones.  I'm pretty sure the 1G & 2G hang from slight different spots.

if you need it cheaper I can do that, its not doing me any good sitting around my garage. I also have the stock mid pipe if you need that too.

hell ya! that is kind of the issue, the stock 06 G1 has the mid pipe built into the muffler so i would have to cut that off to use it... may just be easier to just buy your setup... let me get some stuff together and ill give you a shout!
any idea on the weight and what your zip is? i want to price out some shipping
