Carb parts needed
« on: October 10, 2011, 03:49:16 AM »
Does anyone have a right outer (as if you were sitting on the bike) carb for a gsf400? If you have more than just the right outer let me know as well. It would be great to find a complete set, but the right outer is what is vital.
Thanks

I have most of the pieces for one, but not put together.

How much would you be looking to get for it? Or would you prefer selling pieces?

The main pieces I need are the right outer and left inner parts. However it is better to have to many parts than too few.

I had an extra bank of carbs I took apart and scavenged some parts from.  The rest of the parts are in some jars and bags.  I don't really want to sort them out and try to put one back together.  But if you need a specific part let me know as I'm not going to use what's here.  If you keep an eye on ebay a bank of 4 goes by every couple months for ~ $100 US.

Ive noticed that eBay has a pretty good selection of parts for the gsf 400 but it just so happens that one of the few parts i need isn't available. The part I'm looking for is the right outer carburetor body and its inner workings. The inner right and both left ones are all plentiful. Do you know if they are interchangeable or are they specific to the cylinder that they originally served.  additionally would you be interested in selling a right outer body and its innards to me??

Unfortunately the right outer carb in the bank I bought has a rusted/corroded butterfly valve, the other 3 were ok.  So it may not be useful to you.  The rest of the 'innards' are removed so would need to know what you want.  You could have it for price of postage if it would be any good to you.

After further inspection, my butterfly valve actually look ok but the carbon body is what is causing my leaks.

I meant the carb body. The stupid auto correct changed it lol. I managed to find and buy a complete set. Thanks for all of the help though.
