We use Scona Cycle.   They'll charge a surcharge for non-inhouse purchased tires, but we've had good experiences with them.  Even when one of Blue's tires seemed unbalanced (turns out it's a tire defect, not a balancing issue) they checked it out, no questions asked.

They've done Dita's tires too.  The dirtbikes we manage on our own (as in stormi says, hey r_outsider,... how would you like to change some tires??  :stickpoke: )

They have first come first served service for tires and oil changes on Saturdays, otherwise you'd have to book it.

I bought my bike at scona.  As long as they do it right.  Not too exspensive.

Oh! that's YOUR 1250?  We saw that one there.  From what r_outsider said, the reason the tire that's on it is crap is the salesman who took it on trade wanted to get it back on the floor ASAP.

We've never had a problem with Scona's service, parts or accessories.  I have little experience with sales, but I know that Minetta is great.  She used to run the Service department til she traded with Jr.  She really knows her stuff.

They replaced the rear with a michelin pilot.  I have about 5000 kms on it now.  It seems alright.  The pilot two looks a little better for me. The salesman I had was john, I think.  he was a salesman. I looked at a few used bikes most needed something this was good to go.  I took it on a 4500 k ride this last week,  it is awesome. Other than the seat.  The front tire has about 1000+  km left. Argyll  cycle quote for a pilot was about 80 bucks more including shipping

Oh,..  a Pilot went on the rear?  I  wonder if the salesman got overridden :)

In my experience, AB cycle has about the best prices in Edmonton for Tires .

However,.. they're real Aholes.

I had a run in with the Owner's Husband,... Mike.  Not a guy you wanna be on the same planet with.

I tried to tell him that we'd been unable to get sales service the last time we were in looking at a FZ6 they'd taken on trade, and he just started spouting crap about their reputation and other garbage, interrupting me to do it too.

I said fine.  I made a mistake, I thought you'd like to know that business was walking out your door, but obviously that's not the case.  And left.

As I was walking out, he yelled after me ( in a busy store, I might add) "Fine! I didn't want your business anyway!",... I shrugged and muttered to myself,... "Granted".

I haven't been back, but I take every opportunity to let people know how they are, so that they won't be "bothered" by other people spending money there either.
