It all takes place Aug 7,8/2009 at one of the best motorcycle campgrounds you will ever find, Toad Rock Campground.

Nestled among some of the best riding roads in BC with beaches, hot springs and great rides near by and is worth a visit anytime you are in the area. Tell Mary Daddy Makk sent you!!

Here is what the KGB is:
2 nights of professional stand up comedy (different show each night) followed by the music jam with local bands, huge bonfire and a wee bit of drinking.

We all like to ride, everyone needs to laugh so what are you waiting for?
This area of Canada is worth it just for the scenery and roads...now you have a great event to go with your trip.

Lots of Canadian beer and hospitality to go with your laughs.

Sorry but can't make it. I've heard that it's a laff-riot. Unfortunately we'll be coming through that way 1 week after it's all over. Maybe next year.....

Here are some pics of the event and area:
The Kootenay Lake ferry. A relaxing 30 min crossing where you can exchange road stories with other riders

No tent? They have other accommodations including the hippy bus!

Trailers and bunk houses available as well. Book early.

Here is the Pavillion, a great place to relax during the day, shoot pool or log on to the wireless high speed internet.

Maybe I'll do another burnout ....if my tire is ready to be toasted

Wow!  Look at all those Briggs & Stratton twins!  Maybe even a Tecumseh or two.

I was just asking a friend the other day when we saw a plain jane old VW Bus drive by, "What ever happened to all those Flower Power hippie busses?"
Now I know - they've been converted into camp cabins.
With no side door, it might get a little chilly at night, but I guess you don't have to worry about moisture condensation on the windows.

I've never stayed in the VW but it is popular. Have never heard of anyone complaining of cold but then, I've only been there in warm weather.
I usually stay in the Hippy-Partridge family bus

I camped at TR with 3 other riders on the Labour Day weekend in 2006. This was only the second trip I'd taken on my Bandit. Weather was great and we had a good time. Even that late in the season there were about 12 other bikes in the campground.
