Hey guys.. had such a great time in asheville in june I am headed back in september... there is a Triumph rally that weekend so I am going back with one or two of my Triumph riding buddies...Cherahola Skyway.. lookout baby!!  LOL

...to try hwy 28 out of Deals Gap to Franklin, NC. Except for a short section of freeway it is one of NC's best roads. You can actually take it all the way down into SC. The section from Highlands, NC to the Chattooga river is real nice. I would also suggest that you run hwy 68 south out of Tellico Plains. That's a great road, as well. When 68 crosses into Georgia it changes to hwy 60 and from Morganton, Georgia down to Suches and TWO motorcycle Resort hwy 60 is a very nice road too. When in the Robbinsville, NC area be sure to give Wayah Road a go. It can be found just off of hwy 19 south of Robbinsville near Topton, NC.

Hey Dexter,

Give me your ETA and location and I'll take a few vacation days.  Deb and I have been looking to ride down to Georgia to ride 60, 348 and other roads that way.  WARNING!  It appears State Troopers have contracted Harley Davidson to further enforce speed limits on US 129.  Geesh! What they won't do to keep a few Bandito's in line with the law.

the mill is planning a big shutdown over the weekend I plan to be there.. looks like I am gonna have to stay home and make a bunch of cash that weekend rather than going and playing... man.. that blows goats!!.. but I will be out there next year come hell or high water.. I am now fully addicted to NC roads... any Ironworker work out that way??  LOL  hope to see you soon ...later all

  If you watch the weather,  you can usually get some riding in around the drgaon as late as Thanksgiving.....

I am bummed.. gotta work .. will only have 2 days to play.. not enough time to get to NC and have any fun... will have to see how the schedule and the weather hold out for the rest of the year..if I dont get out before the snow flies I will definitely be back next summer.. untill then, I guess its just a trip to brown county for a ride this weekend...  you all have a good weekend.. get some riding in!!
