Hot was right! Good thing I brought the cazebo for shade, I wet down my dew rag under my helmet befor going out for the 30min.
Do'nt know what my times were, they'll probably be posted later in the week. I could have pushed some more, but got into a rithym where I felt comfortable, and just mantained the pace. I beat 1 guy on a gsxr hwt. anyhow. I hav'nt tried comming out of the hole since I used to dirt track ages ago. I did'nt slip the clutch enough and the front came up,then I seen Doug Duanes wheel squeeze in and just got out of the way. 4th gear seems alittle high, I need to roll on as quick as I can at the end of the carosel, coming out wfo. But it takes to the trn10 till my Rs are up enough to hit 5th. Also loose time in 4,just can't get the lean angle that the race bikes get, befor scraping pegs. I let off a bit early befor cranking open through the kink too,I was getting a bit of frame flex but just gave her the gas all the way to 12. Man! those new brakes worked good! I could have definatly came in farther with a bit more practice.( in 1 too) I'm sure I can shave off atleast another second or maybe 2. But 1st concern was not throwing my 49yr. old body down the track. Hey Jay,how 'bout that Bill Bloom,70 yrs young and still racing! I did'nt see roamer, maybe next time. I'll try to make it in Aug. Dan
