Vancouver, B.C. Bandit get togethers
« on: February 11, 2006, 07:11:13 AM »
I'm wondering if there are Bandito owners in the Vancouver, B.C. area who'd like to organize informal rides during the weekends, and weekday evenings once in a while. Weather seems to be picking up so I think I'm going to take my Bandit out of storage soon.

I was talking to my Bandit the other say and he says that he wants to go out and play with other members of his species. Gotta keep Bandito happy. Hope to hear from other Bandit owners around here.

I could get into it but I live in 100 Mile, so I won't have the bike on the road till about April.

Cool.

The coast has been doing pretty good for weather the past week or so. Thinking of getting the Bandit out of storage pretty quick. Guess the interior is a bit different. Was driving on the Coquihalla a couple of weeks ago and they shut the highway down right after I went through it. Not into winter weather. Brrrr...

We'll stay in touch notagix. Hopefully we can get a few Bandits together by the time you get your bike out.

There's several of us just south of the border - where gas is cheaper. You're always welcome to join us for a romp on the byways of WA.

I haven't riden any roads in coastal BC (driven a few though).
Absolutely loved SE BC last summer when Bobcat & I passed thru from Waterton, Alberta to Osoyoos - picking as many roads in the Destination Highways, BC book as possible.

Yes, we have some nice areas to ride here. Vancouver Island is always a nice ride. The ride to Whistler is always nice also. I love Washington State. I've ridden all over the State and love it. I'm there every chance I get.

I'd like to hook up with you guys down there this season Paul. I'll keep checking the BBS to see if you're organizing a ride. Take care

I'll try to post up some of the more last minute ones, too. I really like Mt. Baker Hwy and the North Cascades Hwy (SR20), both of which are pretty close to me.

Been up to Whistler a few times in the cage and would love to make that trip on the bike. Also been Jeepin' around the Sooke area of S. Van. Is. - those roads were pretty nice, too and looking at the map, it looks like that big island has lots to offer.

It'll be nice to join you guys this season. By the way Paul, I was looking at a thread from a few months ago about road maps for B.C. If you still need them I'll be happy to send a couple down to you. Just let me know.

One of the other members helped me out already, but thanks anyway.
I wanted them for my trip thru the Kootenays last year - and got them in plenty of time.

Hi B6.5

I'm a little too far for a weekday ride, but I do try to get together with my buddy and his B12 (here as Cargo7) a few times per year. We hope to get a few rides in this summer, likely meet in the Okanagon, and head down through Washington.

We are hoping for a 10 day trip to Colorado in July. If your interested, let me know.

Hey pmackie.

I apologize for taking so long to reply.

I'm thinking about riding to Cali about the time you're going to Colorado. Are you cutting over towards the coast by chance? I imagine that you might be going to Colorado by a more direct route, but if you're planning on riding the coast at all let me know. Take care.
