So Iam now getting stumble at a turn of the key and I thought it was a low battery; put a load on, tested, fully good! Twice today, started, then not start, my buddy says it may be the clutch switch, he told me to pull the clutch in and then quickly let it go, I then pulled it back in quickly and it fired up; is there a safety switch that may be bad as I know Suzuki will not start without the clutch pulled in...any thoughts, dogdoc :banghead: thought it was ready for the season and I do not want to take it to the shop for these guys have been taking my money!

DogDoc, pull the clutch switch off, spray it thoroughly with some spray contact cleaner and work the actuator pin a few times while spraying the cleaner into the switch. Get your analog ohmmeter out, set it to the lowest setting, put the probes to the 2 blade connectors and watch your meter as you actuate and let go of the actuator pin. You should get a ZERO reading with the pin pressed in......and an infinity reading when the pin is out. The meter needle should move abruptly from 0 to infinity with no jerkiness.

Long shot but I thought I would add it.....The side stand has a switch the will kill and not start if the bike is in gear.
It took me about 30sec 7 years ago (in between well crap!)to look at the neutral light to see if it was on and then make sure the side stand was all the way up.
