Is there an address I can send it to? I can't get credit outside of former Warsaw pact countries(maybe not even that :-(), hence no credit card, no credit card -> no pay pal. I think it's easier just to stick a bill in the mail. Even if everyone chips in $5 it should cover it. Maybe try hitting up holeshot or Ivan for a few bucks and have their logos with links at the top of the forum. Hey what the hell you may make a buck or two, God knows you deserve it as you've saved alot of people cash and headache. The Canadian Gun forums are entirely funded from all the gun dealerships across Canada with a logo/link at the top. Maybe shop around and see if others will help you out.

Suggestions:

www.holeshot.com   (USA)
http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/    (USA)
http://www.justbandits.com/   (UK)
www.bikebandit.com    (USA)
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/   (USA)

Etc. Give it to them cheap, like $100 a year and you get a logo with link at the top of the forums. Hell these forums are unofficial advertising for them anyway.

Take a look at this, ok they've gone a little jihad with the corporate sponsoring but you get the idea. When I first joined there was ZERO adverts at the top. But they don't interfere with the forums and you don't have to click on them if you don't want to. Plus alot of those say they give a discount to forum members so it's a win-win, they get more business and forum members get a break and the forum get subsidized. Plus Stormi may make some beer money for all the trouble of setting it up. Just a thought. I can't remember the last time I read about getting a small logo on there but it was cheap like a couple of hundred bucks a year last time I checked for curiosity. So once someone is posting on how awsome their holeshot kit is all people have to do is click the holeshot logo at the top and bang more money for them and you. Just ask people to be polite and say that they are coming from the bandit alley forums so they know it's working and will continue to pony up.

Here's a shit example I made in 5 mins. As you can see it interferes with no one.

Just my 2 cents, sounds like an good idea :thumb:, over in the UK Old Skool Suzuki does that to some degree. After reading so many threads I find the wise elder Homesteaders of this forum repeatedly refer us noobys (like me) to all the sites you mentioned. The least they could do is show a little appreciation, just the same member should chip in what they can....

For some reason I only have American funds in my paypal account (probably leftover cash from writing articles over at webbikeworld) so I've sent $10 your way.

Thanks Stormi

Ahh, no worries.  We pay the Domain renewal in USD.  Any currency is good.  Cdn, USD, Mayan coins, whatever :)

Thanks for your support!!

Assuming it's a nice gold coin, I'm sure 1:1 should be fine.  Minus paypal's cut of course...  :stickpoke:

See the part of my Sig that says "Want to help cover the Alley's Costs?"
Click the link.

Or here: http://banditalley.net/donate.html

That will take you to a page where you can choose US funds or Canadian.  Truthfully, it doesn't matter which you use.  The US funds are used to cover the domain renewal price first, then what's left up to the amount that we need to cover the hosting costs, I take out and put to the hosting plan (in Cdn dollars)

Really, it gives our US and Cdn contributors a way to not have to convert currency, only for me to have to convert it again, thus paying PayPal twice.

I promise, one day, hopefully soon, I will put up a link to that in the menu.  It's just that the last time I did,.. I @#$@#% the menu up completely, and it made me grumpy.

You know, I could swear it used to be there, but if I modify it, the forums just take it out, along with the [ /url ] and the other formatting. Weird.
