Brake pad/rotor compatibility question
« on: April 06, 2005, 12:25:42 AM »
I am getting a new front rotor for my B4, I am going with the EBC rotor, as it is cheaper than OEM.

I have read that the DP HH+ pads get good reviews in the magazines etc (the only after market brand to outperform OEM).  But I thought I also heard that they are hard on EBC rotors.  Could this be true?

Should I just go with the Organic pads and forget about it?  If so, what brand is good, or are they all the same, thanks!

I can't think of anything harder on rotors than the OEM pads, But they were the best I tried, and I tried them all!
My thinking is if it stops better, rotor wear is a small price to pay.
My first rotor was shagged at 25K, and a set of pads lasted about 8k
With the Katana front end and dual disks up front now I hope to get a little more life out of everything
