finished valve adjustment, and....
« on: February 07, 2006, 09:24:46 PM »
Oil started pouring out of these tiny tiny holes. One hole is below the # 4 exhaust pipe and one below the #3 exhaust pipe. I know it has something to do with a vacuum hose not right or something. I even switched the two vacuum hoses on the box where the hoses go into; still had oil flowing out.

Need some more help please.......

Sounds like you have pinched the gaskets around the spark plug towers of #3 & 4. The drain for the plug towers is where you're seeing oil. You'll need to pull the valve cover and reseat the gaskets. If they've been pinched too badly, they'll have to be replaced.

Let me guess.  You took the valve cover out the left side?  Red is right if you did.  That cam chain is a real BIOTCH!

When you put the four gaskets around the spark plug holes back in consider using a gasket sealer like Permatix Hi-Tack to hold them up against the cylinder head cover.

Worst case will be if one has dropped into the camshaft chain housing.  It will require patience and a retractable claw hook to fish it out, along with mirrors to see what you're doing.  Don't ask me how I know.

If you're lucky the gaskets will be sitting atop the camshaft and hopefully still intact.  If there's any doubt as to condition replace them all.
