Galfer SS lines stock lengths

I have a 96 B6 and ordered some Galfer SS brake lines. I did a test fitting and they seam to be about 2" too short. I e-mailed Galfer And asked for the specs for this bike, they would not tell me only wanted me to tell them the part number of the kit and length of each hose, so I tell them what they sent me. They e-mail me back with "Your brake lines match our specs for the D75F part number, so my guess would be that this is a routing issue or one of aftermarket parts not working with Galfer lines at stock lengths. Do you have stock bars, triple clamps, etc.? ."
Does anyone know how long the lines should be? And what kind of routing issue? With forks fully extended they do not reach going straight from master to caliper!
The sticker on the kit says:
                  FRENOKIT GALFER
                  FK003D75F
                  SUZ.BANDIT 600
                  FRONT 95-97
And the lengths are:
                  LEFT (center of eye to center of eye)  31inches
                  RIGHT (center of eye to center of eye)  29inches

I'm done e-mailing them and I'm going to call and talk with them. What do you think? How long are your lines? Am I missing something? I just want lines that fit

Hey Dave,

If the bike is completely stock in length in the front, the Galfer lines are usually a little longer than need be. Maybe check the routing? The only other thing I can think of is maybe they packaged the wrong lines or labeled them wrong.

If that doesn't work out, go with Spiegler (whaccessories.com).     You can choose both line color and fittings/banjo bolt colors.

the best thing to do is to measure the stock lines.

I've had some custom lines made for me (most cities will have hose/tube fabrication companies).  They wanted me to remove the old set, bring it to them, and they just copied it.  It's not just the length but also the angles of the banjos. 

Recently I installed some taller wider Renthall bars and the line was too short.  The mechanic contacted the local chopper shop, Racing Innovations (they build a lot of the frames on "American Chopper") delivered one about 1-2in longer -it looks cool since it's all polished.

Any one have a G1 with stock bars and SS lines?

I'm going to take a looks see again when I wake up. I have drag bars on now and the forks are droped a little.

I just put a Galfer SS line on the back, Galer wave rotor, and new seals.Came out nice I'd say.

I'm I right in thinking the longer line would be for the left side and the shorter for the right?     ? ?

Sounds like a reasonable assumption since the left caliper is further away from the master cylinder than the right one.

I've dealt with Galfer a few times and have had great results with them.  I even did custom lines for my other bike because I have shorter bars.  BTW, yes, the longer one goes to the left caliper.

I just installed Galfer SS lines on my G2 1200 and I had no issues with the length at all.

I never got a real answer, but I did fit the lines with a set of drag bars turned down a bit. The lines just make it with the drag bars the lines could no way fit with stock bars at any angle. I'm ok with the drag bars for now.

I just bought a complete 94 GSXR 750 front end for my bike. Does anyone know if my Galfer lines will work with the GSXR front end? I checked and the banjo bolts are the same size and pitch for the B6 and GSXR. The length is where I'm concerned. I'm thinking it will work since the GSXR forks should be shorter.

IIRC, one of the bennies of the earlier USD front ends like you bought is they're the same length (or darn close) as the Bandit, not shorter like the newer ones, so steering geometery stays the same.

So, your lines should work the same.
