I have a 2000 Bandit 1200S. It has a Stage 2 jet with PODS and yoshi exhaust.
Over the last 6000 miles I have put on this bike since I bought it, the power is screwing up. Its annoying, and Im getting pretty bad gas mileage. at 95-102 miles from full tank I have to swap to reserve.
My Idle RPM never sticks where it should, I set it at 1500 and a week later its back at 1000, I set it at 1300 and its back to 1000 a week later. I have done this a good 6 times.
I got a Valve adjustment, and a Carb sync, and I cleaned the K&N PODS. I am wondering if the air mixture /fuel pilot adjustment will help fix this. The reason I haven't done this yet, is Im not sure what kind of tool I need to reach these screws near a hot engine(any tool suggestion).
I'm thinking of doing this, changing the oil, and if nothing works, get a dyno/jet adjustment.
Anyone else experience this?
