Does anyone know how to replace the high-beam indicator bulb in a 1G 600?

Take the panel apart and replace the bulb.

When I had a fairing on my 1G B12, I simply turned the bars all the way to the right, stuck my hand in and removed the rubber boot, unplugged the light, released the pin, and the bulb was free.

I believe you might be thinking of the high beam bulb itself. I'm trying to replace the bulb inside the instrument cluster the little blue indicator.

Since the instrument cluster & idiot light panel are fork mounted on the 1G, I don't see why the fairing would have to come off... but I don't have one sitting here to look at to see what access might be like.

I've never had to replace one of those lights but you can remove the instrument cluster & idiot light panel with the plastics on.

Thanks I hope so. I'll see what happens. I guess if those things were made with LED's I wouldn't have this problem.

The second generation 1200 instrument panel uses LEDs and they're replaceable -- they plug into sockets. Suzuki doesn't have a part number for them but your friendly Radio Shack carries them in various colors.

No.. you don't have to remove the fairing. You'll have to turn the full left and full right to get at the screws though. They are on the underside of the little insterment cluster. You'll also have to use a shorty phillips screwdriver in order to have enough clearance. Remove two screws and the whole thing wil lift off. You may have to feed just a little bit of the wiring through the mount so you can get it up enough to work on.

Thanks Old Schooler! I didn't think it was that easy. I have a feeling it burnt out cause I ride in the daytime with my high beams on.
