intercooler problem
« on: April 02, 2007, 02:53:10 AM »
My fan on the intercooler doesn't seem to be working. Now i looked at the back of the fan and there is a bit of corrosion on the fan unit.

But that may not be the problem so i need to eliminate all possibilities. First thing is first i need to check the fuse for the fan, but i can't find it. I can find the fuse's for every other electrical component on the bike but not for that bloody fan, Anyone know where it is ??

Oh yeah, this bike is a 1995 GSF250 Bandit, she's the baby of the bunch, she needs to be well.

Any Help??

I just hope for your sake it's not in the same place as it was on my sons KLR650 - entwined in the wiring loom, under the front side panel....

Hopefully someone here will be able to help you out....

There's a temp switch that should turn it on. What I'd do is rig up a jumper and give the fan 12v from the battery and see if the fan works, if it does, it's either the temp switch or a fuse, if you have one.
