Putting on new grips
« on: December 01, 2006, 07:52:50 PM »
I bought some pro-grips for my 1200 bandit, got the old ones off with no problem, but when I went to tighten the ends up, there is about 1/4 of a inch play in both ends. I can feel the screw bite, until the last few turns. Then it gets the play, and will not tighten all the way up to the grip.
Any ideas?
  Thanks

Try to get the bar ends out again. Then insert the screw a few threads into the rubber stopper and put it back in as far as it will go, then try to tighten it.
Ummmm, you're not using any kind of lube to get the rubber stopper in the bar are you? Had to ask...
If tomorrow really is the first day of the rest of my life..........does that mean all the shit I do today don't count?
