In my experience, alcohol blends seem to run just fine in my B12.  I have read that they can actually run cooler if the mixture is sufficiently rich to deal with the greater O2.

My concern with alcohol is that is does absorb water and, as a result, it can be a problem if a bike sits unused for any length of time.  Corrosion in the carbs can result if too much moisture is present for too long.

That is why, on a trip where I will burn the fuel right away, I see alcohol blended fuel as a fine choice.  However, I avoid it when filling for the last time before parking the bike when it might sit unused for more than a few days.
