Hi all, im new here and have just got my first bike a 97 bandit 600
one quick question, are the speedo and rev counter supposed to illuminate when the lights are turned on?? as mine dont

Yes, they are supposed to light. Mine had the same problem and it turned out to be a wire in the harness behind the fairing. There is a thread on the board that explains exactly how to fix it.

Is the gas gague not working as well?
Rat is probably right. start with the grey wire in the harness...

mines a B6 so it has no fuel gauge.
sombodys done a twin light conversion on it, and prob havent sorted the wiring properly
ill start with the grey wire though

cheers, ive just read the other post on the same problem and it sounds like a problem with the grey wire as everybody says.
well i better get it sorted this weekend, as i do my test on wednesday and NEED my bike for then

2005 Bandit 1200, Modified Holeshot Stage 1 with 17.5 pilots 2.75 turns out, and 110 mains 5 shims. Muzzy Slip on w/mid-pipe, stock filter. 1.5" hole in the airbox lid.
