oil cooler line leek

Brian "theroamr" and I have bin close Friends sins High School and have bin riding together for almost as long he finely talked me in to getting A Bandit so I picked up a nice 1997 B1200 have only had it out 3 times so far but love it already now for my problem the last 2 times I have used it
It has leaked oil from the left oil cooling line where the hard line meets the flex line the gasket seams to leek but only till the bike gets warm then it stops so maybe a puddle about the size of a silver dollar is this normal when it is as cold as it has bin or i.e. in the 30's to 40’s or do I need to replace the line or is there a way to fix it?

Do an oil change with the correct weight oil.  What's in there might be too heavy (thick).
Make sure the line is tight.
If all else fails, just replace the line.  Should be easy and cheap to do.

I’m planning on changing the oil in a couple days
But its not leaking from the engine case or the cooling unit its leaking from where the sold tube meats the rubber tube if u look at this link it is leaking just above #7 at the oring

Take that whole section of line off the bike and disassemble it on your bench.  If there is an o-ring, it will be damaged or cracked.  Replace it if you can.  If the rubber part of the hose is cracked or dry rotted, replace it if you can.  If not, buy a new on or search some salvage yards for a wrecked Bandit or old GSXR for a cheap relpacement.

Change the lines i went to gafer steel lines.  all i can say is such better feed back. took about a hour start to finish so its a easy swap. & if you want i have the old OEM lines ill send em if you want. all you have to do is pay postage.

you used them for the oil Lines ?

If the oil line is leaking between the metal section and the flex section, the line is bad. I doubt seriously it can be fixed since that's a crimped connection. If you take the line to a shop that makes hydraulic lines/hoses, they may be able to throw another crimp on it, if not, they may be able to rebuild the line with some fresh parts - or replicate the whole darn thing. Double check what the price of a new line is from Suzuki before you go so you can make a cost effective decision.

For some odd reason i thought you said brake line.. wow do i need my head check.. but i do have a set of old oil cooler lines around here i went to a GSF cooler.. so if you want them ill have to look around but i am sure i have them around. just ask

I'd just buy a new line and be done with it.  Thats my 2 cents.
