Could anyone tell me what are the differences between 49 state 2g B12 carbs and the Calif. model?  Would the 49 state model have any benefit over the CA. model?   Thanks                                                               ps. the B-12 resides in the 50thnow FWITW

Looking at the parts fiche for the carbs, the only CA specific carb part is a vacuum tee on the vacuum line for the #4 carb. However, they do list different p/n's for CA and 49 state carb assy's. I'm pretty sure the CA version has different jets than everything else, but are otherwise the same... but this isn't reflected in the parts list - where they only show one part number for each of the different jets.

Long story short, any difference is likely very minor. With any jetting changes from a kit or a DIY endeavor will negate any difference between the two. If you want to spend the coin to get better carbs, spend the money for carbs that are better than either of the two OEM offerings.
