I noticed the older bandits tend to use a cable clutch instead of a hydraulic clutch, so if you ever find the clutch lever has maybe snapped off somehow you can always get the bike working again with a strip of metal, a drill, a bolt, a couple of nuts and some washes.
I think it was the early Harley Davidsons or Indians that used something similar? They called it a suicide clutch and having ridden my old Marauder 125 with this setup for about six months I can well understand why!
