Delkavic Oil Coolers
« on: September 19, 2009, 10:08:05 AM »
I'm running out of options and would appreciate feedback on the oil coolers that's selling on e bay called Delkevic.
Has anyone run these on there Bandit? How is the quality ?

They only make em for other models but not my 2nd Gen 1200.
Instead of paying the $500.00 + for the factory Suzuki for my specific model, I'm willing to save $ by using hoses from 1st Gen Bandit 1200 and bolt on whatever model that works(Thanks RED 01 for suggestion) to the e bay 1st Gen oil cooler.
Aloha

ps: HELP. Miss my Bandit!

can't help you with bandit specific stuff as I still run the stock cooler... however I have thought of upgrading/swapping. Some other people have run 'car' coolers on their bikes. If there is a local car tuner community you may be able to find something. If you don't like how it looks...(they should also be able to make up some oil lines with fitting that work) you can always swap back to a stock bandit unit later. It might just get you on the road though... just a thought to keep in mind.

I don't know about Delkavic, but Hel makes oil coolers and lines. They are a little larger than the stock.I was thinking of putting one on my 1st gen B12 when I had thoughts of racing it.

You don't want to run a first gen oiler cooler if you can avoid it.  They are smaller and will provide less cooling for your motor.
