Those are great information resources Paul. Glad you posted them!
I really like the NAPA Gold filter and thats what I use now. It seems
very solid and is a bit smaller in size. This makes it easier to get on and off (squeezing it past the header/oil line and getting a hold of it to spin it off - a wrench issue). They are also readily available and the cost is reasonable. They are basically the same as the WIX filter, I think.
I also tried the STP SMO-18 and have never had a problem with them. Its a bit cheaper but they keep changing the design of it (and countries where its made) so this makes me a bit nervous.
I also used the
Amsoil 109 filter but I don't want to go there!
