where do you buy your parts?

Just purchased a '98 Bandit 1200s that went down on the freeway -- bent handlebars, busted footrest bracket and cracked front right cowling.  Where can I find inexpensive/quality parts?  I've done some searching and imagine there must be better deals than the ones I'm seeing.  Thanks for your suggestions!

I would keep an eye on Ebay.  Also vary you inputs, i.e. Bandit, Bandit 1200, GSF1200.  I saw a few of the parts you mentioned on Ebay within the last week.  As far as other choices, I don't know of any good sources.

I think he meant that he bought it busted up - he didn't go down with it.

For new, OEM parts, try the Bike Bandit banner at the bottom of the page.  They've treated me well, have better prices than a dealership and if you use the banner, this site gets a little piece of the action to keep it "on the air".   :beers:

For the bars - there is no need to go OEM, though.  Any 7/8ths bars will work.  Find a rise and pullback that suits you and your riding style.

As previously stated above, I buy most of my parts off of EBAY. When I can't find it there I go to BikeBandit.com. They are not giving parts away at Bike Bandit but they have everything you could think of.

I've had quick service and good prices from Ron Ayers Motorsports in NC I think.  Their web site is <www.ronayers.com> and they have microfiche available on line.  Shipping is reasonable and they always seem to get the parts to me within a week or so.

If you're still looking for parts, check out cycletherapy.com in Akron, OH. Ask for "Tater" It's a salvage place and what they don't have, they can probobly find. Tater will treat you right.
