Blowing a Fuse

  My wife and I managed to get an afternoon together early last November and we decided to take the Bandit out for one last spin before putting it away. Well it turned out that the battery was almost drained. I got her to give me a push while I dropped it into first. Worked a treat! Well.. until my cluster went dead. :duh: I was tempted to still go for a spin but common sense got the better of me and I put it back into its pen. Now with the warm weather I'm ready to tackle the fuse issue. I realize it's probably only a 10 amp, but I have this nagging feeling that there may be another issue. (That's what I get for waiting for so long to fix it.) So i guess I'm asking if anyone else has had their cluster go dead on them, or experienced this situation before?

Are you sure the instrument cluster going dead is because of the fuse?  I remember on the Kawasaki Concours forum, that if the bike is push started, one of the relay that powers something, the headlight or instrument, I forgot, will not energized.  Maybe the Bandit could be set up similarly?

Otherwise, sorry, and nevermind.

That might be it too. The weather's warming up enough here this week (15 on Wednesday)that I may be able to get her out of her winter home and fire her up. I checked the battery yesterday and it's charging away nicely. hopefully I can just drop it in and go.

Dropped the battery in last night and everything seemed to work fine. No more issue. Didn't have to replace a fuse or anything so I'm very happy about that.  :bandit: :motorsmile: Now I just have to start her up!

Where are the fuses?  I think I may have blown the main fuse

They're located under the seat at the rear of the bike. Well.. at least they are for an '02 gfs600s.
