Red head covers...
« on: July 14, 2009, 05:11:20 AM »
While browsing around the net and the magazine rack, I have noticed that quite a few custom streetfighter style bikes have the head covers on their engine painted red.  Why?  Are these aftermarket head covers that come that way, or is this just a 'style' thing that people do themselves?  If it is for style, how did it come about and what does it mean?

red covers, my came with red covers which i think means that its a V or VV engine, (Variable valve control) Don't quoted my on that, when i bought my B4 it was sold to me as a V, which i later found out it wasn't

I repainted covers myself, it was style thing i ! which was not quite the same colour red
and i didt what orange again as it would have got too much

On the B4, the red cover indicates the V motor.

I see.  I have seen the same on 1100's and 1200's too, though.  Mainly custom ones...
