2008 Bandit?
« on: September 28, 2006, 11:55:50 PM »
Has anyone heard if they are bringing the Bandit back to the states for 2008?

I really want a new bike soon and I would hate to lose everything I know and learned from the '02 and end up with a Yamaha or Honda.

I have been peaking at the FZ1 for a few weeks now, it is looking better each day.  It really looks like an updated Bandit, plus watercooled and fuel injection are a bonus.  The price is about the same, Abernathey's in Union City, TN sells them for less than 8k.

chwck one of the other threads.  You'll see the US will get the 07 version with ABS.  That was on the US Suzuki website....the link is in the other thread.

Okay, I didn't read about the 2007 until I posted this, sorry.  I will be getting the new Bandit as soon as they hit the market.

I called the shop today in Hamilton, AL.  They said they should have the 07 by the end of October.
They also said less than 8k.

Only one color though, the Blue one they show on the web.  Not bad, but I would prefer the UK red.

I just got back from mid-Ohio.  In the Suzuki tent they were showing a video on the new Bandit and it said the ABS was an option.

Saturday was crappy, as soon as they would start to get the track dry it would rain again :duh: Sunday the weather was great, but it took 'till noon to get motorcycles on the track.  In any case it was a good time

I was looking at the new bandit on the Suzuki site again and I notice that the ABS version is the only one listed, so my info may be wrong.  OTOH the Suzi site also lists the tranmission as a 5-speed in one area and a 6-speed in another.  It also lists colors as blue in one area and red or black on another.  So it sounds like a work in progress.
