a couple things...
« on: March 27, 2006, 01:36:35 PM »
1. Can somebody please tell me how to set the clock on my 2001 B12?

2. Do the tail lights or any other electrical device stay on when the ignition is in the locked position? I ran my battery down this morning and had to jump it. I see there is a locked position and another position beyond that that has what looks like a "P" marked there. Which is which?

Thanks in advance.

(Geesh, I really have to watch my grammar now)

If you had the key in the "P" position that is the Park position which leaves your tail light on.  I had the same thing happen to me.
Wait for me!!

It's covered in the FAQ under the subject title Clock reset?

It's also covered in my 2001 model Owners Manual on p 18, under "Instrument Panel."
Here's the instructions from my OM:

Quote
Clock
The clock indicates 12 hour mode. Follow the procedure below to adjust the clock.

    1. Push the buttons,
(7) and (8) ("SELECT" & "RESET"), simultaneously until the minute display blinks.

2.  Adjust the minute display by pushing the "RESET" button (8).

NOTE: When the "RESET" button (8) is held in, the display advances continuously.

3. Push the "SELECT" button (7) to highlight the hour display.

4. Adjust the hour display by pushing the "RESET" button (8).

5. Push the "SELECT" button (7) to resume clock mode.[/list]

At least you didn't leave the key on the night before a track day (didn't notice b/c all the lights were disconnected/taped) and have to get push started in the paddock in front of 100 other people.
